Billy Bell RIP.
Gleann na Laoi suffered a huge loss recently, when our great clubman and great friend Billy Bell passed away. Billy was one of the greats of Gleann na Laoi, he featured on the 1984 team when we reformed, and he played a huge part in our successes durine the late 1980's and 1990's. He played Junior B Hurling up to age 56! He was a committee member since we reformed in 1984 and was Gleann na Laoi Club President for many years. He was as highly regarded in the County Board and Muskerry Division as he was in Gleann na Laoi. The massive crowds that attended the removal and funeral were a fair reflection on what a popular and highly respected man he was.
He will be dearly missed by His Son William, Daughters Marie, Mairead, Cecelia, Eilish, and Kathy. and his huge circle of friends.
Ar Dheis De Go Raibh a Ainm.
